Follow the instruction (Do Not Connect to the internet):
1. Uninstall all previous nis program include Live Update program. check in add or remove program
that you really unistall it.
2. Delete the chache file from Symantec in the following folder
C://Documents And Settings/All Users/Application Data (hidden Folder)/Symantec.

C:Documents and Settings(user name)Local SettingsTemp del all(use Show hidden file and folder at tag folder option)

Go to star-->run->regedit-->ok-->edit-->symantec(norton)-->find and del all...Symantec(Norton)until reg Finish.
3. Set the computer date to future date, e.g Jan 1, 2009 , Jul 1, 2009 Dec 1, 2011 or whenever you
want
4. Install NIS 2007.
4.1. unrar
4.2. DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET! THIS IS IMPORTANT!
4.3. Run the installer, and run the keygen located in the EDGE dir.
(and use the keygen from EDGE with 2 years subscription. ( you may take 3 - 11
year subscription, i'm not recommended)
After Finish, you should get 2 year subscription. if you get 0 day subscription, stop the next
step because it will broken.uninstall it and start again with different date.)
4.4. Copy the Product Key from the keygen to the Norton Setup then press
the I Agree button..
4.5. Complete installation and finally you will get to the activation,
it's important that you are NOT connected to the Internet!
Press the Next button.
4.6. A message box will come up telling you that you need Internet
connectivity to continue, just press the OK Button, and then press
the Next button.
4.7. You will get to a part where it's trying to connect to the Internet
for online activation, after a while it will fail, this is fine,
repeat this step again.
4.8. After attempting to do online activation two times, it will fail.
4.9. Select Phone Activation and press press the Next button.
4.10. Now copy the 36 digit Request Code into the Request Code field in
the keygen, no dashes or spaces just one long 36 digit string.
Select how many years you want to license the software for, and
press the Generate button to get your Unlock Code.
4.11. Copy the generated Unlock Code to the Norton activation screen,
then press the Next button.
4.12. Enjoy a fully unlocked copy, and naturally DO NOT register this
software with Norton.

Now go to step 2(read the note Nis2008 first).

after installed,do not need to use liveupdate or use it,just click finish)

6. take CLTVault.dll File from C://Program Files/Norton Internet Security/ to anywhere e.g desktop.

7. Uninstall NIS 2007(use Add or remove program.do not need unistall live update),then install NIS 2008, when finalizing step, choose activate later, and then
No. you should get 15 day trial subscription. if you get 0 day subscription, stop the next step
because it will broken. uninstall it and start again with different date.
8. Open NIS program, click Norton Internet Security Tab, then Click tab Option, Norton Internet
Security. on the general option, uncheck "turn on protection for norton product"
9. take CLTVault.dll file from NIS 2007 in desktop, and replace to
C://Program Files/Norton Internet Security/
10. restart your computer.
11. after restart, Open NIS program, you should 730 day subscription, if Not, click the
help & Support tab, then run activation. click next, next, activate later, no, ok, skip. wait a
second then you get 730 day subscription.
12. check if all of the feature is secure except Protection Update and spyware definition. if Not,
do not run next step because it will broken.
13. Set back your computer date to normal date. it mean the "now date". then restart your computer.
14. now check on the NIS program, you should 730 day subscription on the "date now" with all
feature is enable.
15. Go to Norton Internet security tab, click report and statistic tab, then click "View Activity
Log". the log viewer will appear.
16. on the Log Viewer, click Intrusion Prevention, then check that the last report say that
intrusion prevention is enable.
17. Now, connect to the internet, then run live update untill finish. check if its not broken.
18. wait for 1 day, and check that your subscription is 729 day.
19. Done. you get NIS 2008 Full

If A liveupdate error:
Try to update manually
(get the last Virus Definition on Link here,
download it, then run it). After this, your live update will work correctly. when you run
live update again, you never get an error again. Follow this steps, Before you try manually update,
run Luall.exe (C://Program Files/Symantec/Live Update/LUALL.exe) and you will see the error is
update for Virus Definition. Then Run update Manually that you download from symantec. After that,
run LUALL.exe again and check that no error found during update.
Just one time,never error again.
